Located in downtown St. Paul, the History Center features innovative school programs and interactive exhibits including:

• The U.S.-Dakota War of 1862
• Minnesota and the Civil War
• Minnesota's Greatest Generation
• Open House
• Weather Permitting, and
• Then Now Wow, designed especially for field trips.

Field Trips to the History Center can choose one of two packages:

• Museum PackageSelect from different activities developed to engage your students in an active learning experience as they explore the History Center's museum exhibits. Allow 1 to 2 hours for this program package.Fee: $5 per student
• Museum-Plus PackageThe Museum-Plus Package includes both a visit to the History Center's museum exhibits using one of the activities from the Museum Package, and a 50-minute classroom History Lesson. History Lessons examine specific historical topics and bring students in contact with the real stuff of history – documents, photos, objects, and more. Allow 2 to 3 hours for this program package.
