Noun:  Power or permission to enter somewhere.

Noun: A Philippine dish in which pork or chicken is slowly cooked in a sauce including soy sauce, vinegar, and crushed garlic.

advocate

Verb:  To argue in support of someone or something.  (advocates, advocating, advocated)

affair

Noun:  A social function or event.

allegiance

Noun:  Loyalty to some cause, nation or ruler.

alter

Verb:  To tailor clothes to make them fit.  (alters, altering, altered)

Noun:  A dispute or fight carried on with heat or anger.

Noun:  An official representative of one government who conducts business with another government.

Noun:  The desire to achieve goals.

Adjective:  Made American, in the custom, culture, or style of the United States of America.

Noun: A general pardon by an authority to a large number of people for past offenses.

Verb:  To absorb into a community by adopting that community's traditions or culture.  (assimilates, assimilating, assimilated)

assimilation

Noun:  The adoption, by a minority group, of the customs and attitudes of the dominant culture.

Noun:  A group of persons associated for a common purpose; an organization; society.

assume

Verb:  1. To suppose to be true, especially without proof.  2. To take on a position or duty.  (assumes, assuming, assumed)

Noun:  Something that is believed to be true without any proof.
