The Minnesota Historical Society has over 120 full immigrant oral history interviews, including transcripts and audio, available online for students and researchers. These interviews were conducted with recent immigrants and refugees in Minnesota from the communities represented on this website.
If you want your students to go above and beyond the short excerpted stories available on the Becoming Minnesota website, they can use this resource for further exploration or in-depth research. Most of the interviews are 1/2 to 2 hours in length.
Note: The content of these full interviews has not been edited and some include graphic descriptions of torture and execution. This is especially true of the Khmer stories.
