Visitor tips
- Most visitors spend about two hours at the site.
- Don't forget your camera and a good pair of walking shoes! The historic site offers walking paths and trails with spectacular views of the river and a variety of natural landscapes.
- Canoes are welcome on the Snake River! Boat landings are located two miles up or down river of the site. Canoes are not available for rent; please bring your own.
Visitor policies
- Service animals are permitted. Pets are not allowed.
Health & safety
Our top priority is to maintain a safe environment for visitors, staff, and volunteers.
- We continue to regularly clean high-touch surfaces and provide hand-sanitizing stations for visitors.
- We respect each individual’s decision regarding face masks. While masks are not required, we welcome staff and visitors who choose to wear them.
