Dear Sir: In re Carl Hammerberg,
#5148
Answering your inquiry with regards to Carl Hammerberg, beg to
advise that we find Hammerberg was in our employ in capacity as ripper and
cutoff man and upon taking the matter up with our foreman, Mr. Baker, find that
Hammerberg was a good worker, punctual and goodnatured and in other words a
firstclass employee. Mr. Baker also stated that he would not hesistate in hiring
Hammerberg at any time that he was free to accept a position.
The writer
was personally acquainted with Hammerberg and as far as he remembers,
don’t think that Hammerberg had any bad habits, or was inclined to be
rowdy, but that he was easily led, or in other words, he was inclined to follow
along with the crowd.
Yours very truly,
ZENITH BOX &
LUMBER COMPANY,
