Duluth, Minnesota
February 19, 1921.
To The Board of Pardons of the State of Minnesota,
Gentlemen:
I beg leave to state that Gilbert H. Stephenson, lately
sentenced to Stillwater for an alleged participation in a riot that occurred
last June, was in my employ for nearly two years, and that I always found him to
be a reliable man, morally upright and of good repute. I beleive (sic) that a
great injustice was done him in bringing in a verdict of guilty in his
case.
I therefor (sic) pray that your honorable body grant him an
unconditional pardon, which I beleive (sic) to be the wish of the majority of
the people of St. Louis County.
Yours respectfully,
Geo
H. Lounsberry
