Mr. R. D. McKercher,
8 West 1st St.,
Duluth,
Minnesota
Dear Sir:--
Your letter of June 16th
reached my office during by absence. The county officials seem to be taking hold
of the Duluth situations in the proper spirit. So far, it has not been necessary
for the state officials to participate in the investigation except for the
inquiry made by the Adjutant General.
I want to thank you for your offer
of cooperation and should it be necessary for us to take hold of the matter
further, I will not hesitate to call on you.
Very truly yours,
B/VS
