Dear Sir:
In reply to your letter of July 23, permit me to
advise you that the County Attorney of St. Louis County has conducted the
investigation in the Duluth cases of which you write and is, therefore, fully
advised of the situation. As you perhaps know, several indictments have been
voted by the Grand Jury and the men are being tried for the commission of the
offense.
All of the facts in these cases will, I hope, be brought out at
the trial. If, after the trial, it appears wise to give out a statement, I wish
you would communicate with me.
Assuring you of my sincere desire that
the truth be mad know in this matter, I am
Very sincerely yours,
