Notes: Heartland Textile Preservation Services offers public institutions the opportunity to care and conserve their collection. Textile surveys, treatments, exhibit mounts, and long-term preservation planning is available for costumes, quilts, samplers, flags, Native American regalia, uniforms, upholstery, and soft historic house furnishings. Identifying environment and textile storage needs are often the first step in creating a long-range plan. Initial phone consultations reviewing possible projects and textile conservation needs are always free.
