The intern will work with the Site Manager and the rest of the site team to gain both front of house and back of house experience. Our fall intern will work with site interpreters to learn how to deliver public programs in a museum setting, as well as work with the site manager and program assistant to create and deliver an online program for the museum.

Student Qualifications
  • Ability to travel to the Charles Lindbergh House and Museum
  • Familiarity with historical research
  • Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills; ability to effectively deliver verbal information
  • Ability to listen to the public and be responsive to inquiries and comments
  • Ability to master program information and present it according to interpretive or learning objectives
  • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
  • Ability to learn how to develop digital programming
  • Knowledge of Minnesota history and ability to learn about Charles A. Lindbergh and site-related history
Student Responsibilities
  • Shadow the site manager of the Lindbergh Historic Site 
  • Learn interpretation skills 
  • Conduct historical research
  • Interact with the public in a public setting
  • Create a digital program
  • Serve diverse audiences interacting with the museum 
  • Participate in the development and implementation of on-site and online programming.
